Thursday 25 March CABE is running a free half-day training workshop in Manchester - "Fun Times. Serious Lessons. Green Day."
CABE's Green Day is an event for primary and secondary schools that aims to help you make your school more sustainable. It's a fun way to learn serious topics, such as the connection between climate change and the places in which we live and learn. It links well with many Eco-Schools topics and we hope that more than 1,000 schools will take part in Green Day 2010.
Green Day is for pupils in KS1, 2 and 3. It launches on 4th June and schools can timetable their event any time during the following month. A free teachers' activity kit is available from CABE, packed with over 100 curriculum linked lesson ideas to help you plan your Green Day.
The training will support you in planning your event, as well as helping you to develop your confidence to make changes in the way your school runs to improve its sustainability.
